Operations run daily from 10 AM–5 PM, extended to 6 PM in summer, though interruptions can occur in poor weather.
Gulmarg Gondola In Summer
From March to May, the ride offers lush meadows, clear skies, and scenic walking options at Kongdoori; early morning slots are optimal. If you think Gulmarg is only a winter wonderland, think again—summer brings out an entirely different, yet equally mesmerizing, side of this Himalayan gem.

Snow Meets Sun At Apharwat
The second phase, from Kongdoori to Apharwat Peak, lifts you into a cooler, alpine world. Even in July and August, patches of snow remain clinging to the higher ridges.

Summer Atmosphere
Unlike winter’s harsh whiteout, summer gives the gondola ride a warm, golden glow. Mornings are usually clearer, offering visibility as far as Nanga Parbat.

Why Gondola Is A Must-Do In Summer
The Gulmarg Gondola in summer is more than just a cable car ride—it's a tranquil journey through the clouds, over one of the most picturesque alpine landscapes in India.
