At this time, temperatures reach extremely low, hovering at negative 6 degrees Celsius or below, making it perfect for heavy snowfall which results in a winter wonderland.

So, yes Srinagar does get snowfall here during December and it does get increased from light to moderate to heavy spell as the month progresses. By end of december, early January, snowfall is frequent in the region.
